How does the "Foundations" course help students who are behind?

Foundations is an accelerated gap-filling course covering math concepts from grades 2 through 6 in a single year. It is designed to identify and close "Swiss Cheese" math gaps, providing a bridge for students to move confidently into Pre-Algebra.

How long does it take to complete a lesson/course?

Each Unlock Math lesson will take about 20 – 60 minutes, depending on the course. With normal pacing, you can expect to complete a course in 9 months. As each course is completely self-paced, this can be done faster or more slowly, depending on the individual student.

Can students move to the next course during the subscription?

Each Unlock Math course has been designed to be best used by going through the lessons in sequential order. This ensures that no gaps develop. Each session builds upon previously learned concepts. Conversely, each lesson CAN be taken out of order for those students needing help in particular concepts and using Unlock Math as an online tutor.

Do you have placement tests?

Yes, we have links to course readiness tests for Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and Pre-Calculus on our curriculum pages.

When I enroll, what do I have access to?

Do you offer a family discount?

Families purchasing subscriptions directly from Unlock Math are eligible for a 50% sibling discount for each additional concurrentyly enrolled student subscription that they add. No further discounts are allowed on sibling subscriptions. Note: Charter schools and ESA programs purchasing student subscriptions are not eligible for the sibling discount.

Are there printable materials?

Yes. Each Unlock Math course includes a complete set of reference notes that can be viewed and/or printed for your convenience. Progress & Grade Reports may also be viewed and/or printed. Also, each unit includes one printable assignment for those who need to turn in work samples.

Is progress tracked online?

Yes. Each Unlock Math course has been designed so that every quiz, assignment, and test is taken in our virtual learning environment and given immediate feedback. Progress is tracked, and grades are kept in your child’s Report Card that they may view each time they log in. You can access their Report Card and Gradebook, for more in-depth reporting, in your Parent Account.

I use Parental Internet Control Software. What URLs do I need to enter to ensure UnLock Math functions properly?

Just three: www.unlockmath.com, https://unlockmath.mobius.cloud/, and https://vimeo.com. It is also important to remember to allow popups as our Testing & Assessment platform pops up in a separate window. JavaScript™ and cookies must also be enabled.

How do I add a Student Account?

Login to your Parent account
Click on the blue “Add New Student” button
Fill out the student information.
Leave the email field blank if the student doesn’t have one (it cannot be a Parent email).

Do you accept purchase orders from charter schools?
