UnLock Math Curriculum
Pre-algebra uses the fundamental skills learned in foundations to build an understanding of the basic concepts in algebra.
Curriculum
Pre-Algebra
Two new number concepts are introduced: the integers and the rational numbers. Students learn the difference between a number and a variable, and how to solve simple equations with one variable. Students will gain further practice with decimals and percent, and solve problems involving simple and compound interest. Simple polynomials are introduced, which students will learn to add, subtract, and use the distributive property to multiply.
